
Supposedly there is a bug open in Radar at Apple about this issue since the 10.8 release but it still has yet to be fixed as of 10.8.3. Go to the Macintosh HD / Applications folder, and drag Launchpad to the Dock. If that’s what you’ve been looking for, you will have to look up an application named Rainmeter. Some reports say to reinstall Teams, but Ive also. In a nutshell, the macOS dock icon for Teams used to display the classic red badge to let you know there was new activity, but now its missing. This has been posted recently on reddit and elsewhere, but I was wondering if anyone had a solution.

Also, a sudden change in your OS can cause this problem. Sometimes, while customizing, users end up hiding the dock by mistake. Ideally, you can customize your Mac's dock as per your needs.

I recently decided to wipe and install a fresh copy of OS X 10.8.3, and discovered that, for many of my apps, the option to "Assign to." particular desktops or to all desktops was missing. As you know, the dock is the inbuilt feature of Mac that allows us to access all the vital apps and settings quickly. Keep in mind that if you’ve uninstalled any of the default apps that the Dock contains, they will appear as icons until you either remove the placeholder from the dock, or reinstall the missing apps. Once it reappears, it’ll look good as new. It would be great to have this resolved and fix the hole in the UI.

Seeing this always makes Firefox look out of place and non-native on Mac.

Having originally upgraded to 10.8 from 10.7, all of my applications' desktop assignments in (now) Mission Control were already set. Press the Return key on the keyboard, and the Dock will restart. mac OS download progressbar in Dock is blurry and missing opacity.
